FACILITY
RENTAL
The
Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum offers a distinctive
venue for your next event. The A. Hays
Town Building, built
in 1968, was originally the home of the University foundation
and Art Center. Explore the different spaces amendable to board
meetings, lectures, readings, dinners and cocktail parties. We
cannot host events of a political, religious or fundraising
nature.
THE A. HAYS TOWN BUILDING
The
Town Building has three rooms on the first floor, which can
accommodate 100-150 people. Intimate dinners in each room
can comfortably seat 24-30 people. The second floor has a perfect
room for lectures, readings and conferences, seating at least
84 people.
The front lawn of the Town Building is a perfect setting for
those larger parties of a few hundred people. Tent rentals can
be accommodated through your event planner/coordinator.
THE
PLAZA WITH THE WATERWALL
The
plaza is also a perfect setting for a large party. Parties,
dinners, tables, or no tables, it is a spectacular area for
a gathering with the Water wall in the background. Set between
the A. Hays Town Building and the Museum with a flood of
blue light in the evening hours, the Plaza is just the right
space
for that special event.
TIMES
AVAILABLE
The
Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum consider the use
of Museum property for private and on campus use as an earned
income activity supporting the mission and operations of the
Museum. Facility Use and Rental is on a space and date available
basis. Activities and events produced and sponsored by the
Museum are given first priority for use of the facilities.
The
A. Hays Town Building, plaza and lawn are available only during
times when the museum is not open to the public. Museum
public hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until
5 p.m. Parking and gallery visitor access is our first priority
during operating hours. All events must be planned and
managed by one of the approved event planners or wedding coordinators.
Because of limited staffing the museum relies on these trained
and knowledgeable professionals to manage facility use on behalf
of the museum. Please contact the museum at (337) 482-0817 or
email artmuseum@louisiana.edu for information about approved
planners and coordinators.
