George Loli Holds Lecture at Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art MuseumLAFAYETTE, September 18, 2006- George Loli, professor of architecture and renowned artist, will conduct a lecture and slide presentation titled “Inspirational Sketches” on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. This presentation is in conjunction with the Museum exhibition “Water and Light: James McNeill Whistler's Etchings and Drypoints of Venice and Amsterdam” on display at the Museum. George Loli is a professor at the School of Architecture and Design at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He studied architecture in Florence and worked as an architect in New York before coming to Louisiana. His drawings have received national and international recognition through exhibits in France, Italy and the U.S. Loli recently won first and second place in the Louisiana Watercolor Society's annual competition. His work, as well as many of his students, has been shown in numerous architecture and design publications. Parking is available in the lot next to the A.
