2007 Brown Bag Series Begins Feb. 7 at the Paul and Lulu Hilliard
University Art Museum
January 2007, Lafayette, LA- The 2007 Brown Bag Wednesday Lunch series at the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum at the University of Louisiana will begin Feb. 7 with a presentation by Dayana Stetco. Stetco will conduct a discussion and show clips from the Bayou Bijou film “Brick.”
“Brick” is a film by first-time director Rian Johnson, who plays with the conventions of film noir in a story set in a sunny southern California highschool. Joseph Gordon-Levitt ( Mysterious Skin, 3 rd Rock from the Sun ) is superb as the loner teenager investigating the death of his ex-girlfriend in the underworld of highschool cliques.
The Brown Bag Lunch Program is held on the first Wednesday of every month at noon in the A. Hays Town Building at the Museum. This program offers a more expanded view and experience of current exhibitions and the arts through guest lectures, film presentations as well as guided walkthroughs of the exhibits.
Brown Bag Wednesdays are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lunch and enjoy the experience of spending time learning about the arts.
For additional information on current and upcoming Brown Bag Programs contact (337) 482-2278 or visit museum.louisiana.edu.
