Exhibition Evokes Imagination at the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum
Lafayette- On September 15 the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum will present an exhibition that will offer the visitor with an engaging and exciting museum experience. The exhibition, titled Image and Word, includes paintings, drawings and prints of well-known artists that can serve as a catalyst for crafting word and realization of meaning. Image and Word will highlight drawings, paintings and prints from artists including Marc Chagall, Bernhard Gutmann, Mary Cassatt, Edouard Vuillard, Maurice de Vlaminck, Reynolds Beal, Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, William Glackens, Philip Leslie Hale, John Sloan, Arthur Dove and John Marin. This cameo exhibition was curated as an opportunity to engage students and visitors in the interdisciplinary activities studying the language and visual arts. Gallery activities in the language arts have been developed for both youth and adults
